I'm trying to perform new install on an XP SP3 PC. The following error is generated when the install package starts installing the main database services. At the bottom of the post, I've included the portion of the install log that seems to be relevant (from just before the "fatal error" message. Any help would be appreciated.

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor"

Sorry for the newbie issue... I found the older post and will work through adding 3.5 and the 2005 C++ and determine if that fixes the issue.

I would not recommend XP. As the developers continue enhancing this product, they will write code that doesn't work on XP.
Although it might install it is not supported according to what I have been told.

I know the manual says v11 supports XP but check this:

http://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/3cx-phone-system-version-11-release-candidate-available/

Use windows installer 4.5 that will work like a charm, though windows XP is officially supported I do have a few machines out there with XP and have upgraded to V11 and when I've had an issue with one I did get support though, that doesnt mean they will continue to assist as it is no longer a supported OS.

Hi,

I have also two machines with xp sp3, with windows installer 4.5 everything is workin well, from installation to all the way into production
