anyone have any experience using 3cx with filevine for law firms

Never heard about it, you can try building a template using the CRM tool:

Or try hiring a third party to do the development. @ConceptsWeb is pretty sure your best option on this.

That will depend on the integration capabilities of the CRM. Some CRMs provide a simple and easy to use REST API, and are easy to integrate. Others need intermediate modules to run some translations, so it's not that easy without checking their docs. But speak with @ConceptsWeb, he's doing this kind of integrations all the time, he will be able to give you a ballpark estimation if you can give him some docs.
