Hello,

we are having trouble getting mysql call journaling to work. The connection to the database is valid and working and the contact matching returns a contact with some fields.

Lookup SQL statement:
SELECT id as contactid, firstname, lastname, email, phonemobile FROM contacts WHERE phonemobile LIKE '%[Number]%'

10728
10729

So the connection is working and 3CX can see my database. However, call journaling SQL statement does not execute.
Call journaling SQL:
INSERT INTO calls (NUMBER, CALL_TYPE, AGENT, DURATION, TIME_SPAN, DATE_TIME) VALUES ('[Number]', '[CallType]','[Agent]', '[Duration]', '[DurationTimeSpan]', '[DateTime]')

10731

I have tried enabling verbose logging and searching the logs for any useful information but there seems to be none. Enabling the the integration and calling the real phone does not seem to trigger the journaling, also I have tried everything from this thread and it didnt seem to fix the problem. The system is on v16. Thank you

Please note that call journaling needs a matched contact. Your contact lookup query needs to return a contact first, and only then, when the call ends, the call will be reported to the database.

If this is not happening, enable verbose logs and check the 3cxSystemService.log file. You will see there all the interactions between 3CX and the database.

Ok I have made it so that the number im calling from gets matched by SQL matching query and returns the contact info. After the call the name returned is in the contacts with a CRM type - meaning that the call matching added it. However there is no INSERT statement in the logs or new rows in the calls table. I can see the SELECT statement from the matching scenario tho.

Am I doing something wrong? Also call journaling only for matched calls is very limiting - is there any way all calls can be logged?

Check the 3cxSystemService.log file, maybe there is an issue with the SQL statement you have configured for Call Journaling. There you will see what's happening. Please ensure that you test this with verbose logs, otherwise the most important information will not be visible...

There is no way to report calls that are not matched to a contact at the moment. If you need to get the information for all the calls, you should consider generating CDRs, and creating some batch/script to import these CSV files into your database periodically.

Thank you very much for the support.
