Hi there,

When my users call a DDI for an internal extension, I see the call going to the trunk and not being delivered locally.
Is this normal behavior? How can I make calls to local DDIs be delivered locally without involving the trunk?

Thanks

The simplest solution is to make the SIP ID of each extension that of its DID number, include any prefixes used for outside calls. 3CX will see the SIP ID before going to the outbound rules.

As I recall, you also have to allow direct SIP calls, if that has not been done.

Thanks.
But not that easy if you also need to provide the users a "proper" SIP ID (ex.: [email protected])
Is there any other option?

Thanks.
I am actually now "looping back" the calls on an external SIP server, so somehow similar to your solution.
But the main problem I was trying to avoid was using two concurrent calls per real call.

You could single out the DIDs , in the outbound rules, and block them. Perhaps sending to a recording, letting people know that "this number is internal", and giving instructions on how to dial.

You could train your users. If they don't want to learn, just buy a bigger license.
