I'm receiving an error emailed to me that is not valid. It says that the HDD is running out of space, but the error says that there is 488/500mb of space available. Additionally, the 3CX system status dashboard shows that there is 3.1GB of storage free.

3CX installation mydomain.3cx.us is running out of space. (488.0 Mb Space left out of 500 Mb).
As a result of this, recordings, logging and voicemail services are disabled until this problem is resolved.
Login to the machine, free up some space or add more disk space and reboot the server.

3CX Professional Perpetual v16.0.910 hosted on AWS and installed via PBX Express.

Could this be an alert from quota space for recordings and not for PBX HDD ?

I just checked and the quota is set to 5GB so it doesn't appear to be for that.

Is it HDD or RAM alert, is it coming from 3CX or from AWS ?

It is coming from 3CX. I assume it is HDD since the subject line of the email says "harddisk is at or near capacity"

Yes this mail exist in 3cx notifications

So surely you need to increase space disk or reduce Quota allocated to recordings to give space to system, or save recordings out of 3CX HDD

You've got an install on 500MB storage?

I don't know why you would state that.
I have 0 recordings. I have 5GB of storage.

This is a bogus error from 3CX. It even says I have 488/500mb of space available.

Can you check what storage capacity is used on AWS and confirm or not if disk is full or not.

Latest V16 is V16.0.2.910 is this one you use?

Version Number shows "16.0.910" under the License Settings. On the dashboard it shows as "16.0.2.910"
I checked storage usage and there is a little over 3GB free space available with about 4.5GB used.

There's a chance your system might have been low on storage for a short period of time, for example during backup creation (especially if you have remote backups which means it creates the file locally and then send it) and after the transfer had finished the space went back to normal. During the period which the space was low the system sent an alert.

That is a logical reason on why space could be consumed temporarily, but my backup size are only 152MB. Additionally, the email said only 12MB was used out of 500mb. So not only is that a small amount of usage, the 500mb of allocated space doesn't even match up to any drive, partition, or setting that is 500MB.

That email is sent when space is less than 500MB. So if it says that 488/500MB is used and you have a 5GB drive it means that 4,50.8GB out of 5GB of space is consumed.

I can't think of any reason why that would happen. The usual suspects is recordings, logs and backups.

Maybe a glitch in the system. I wouldn't worry too much unless it happens again in which case I would further investigate.

The email specifically said "488.0 Mb Space left out of 500 Mb" which would mean 12/500MB is being used.

IIRC I believe the low space is not percentage based but rather a 500MB hard set limit. It seems like you might be hitting that due to your drive/partition configuration.
