@Ronin can you please confirm what build of the app you are using?
Hello john,

We use the 16.1.1.323 3cx iOS version.
3cx is hosted on a Debian server which was downloaded from the 3cx site.
Currently, inbound calls do not ring on the iOS app.

To all,

If you report issues, make sure to mention the App Build and the Server OS you are using.

@Ronin
In addition to what John said so far, it would be good to know also:
- if you have more iPhones devices, all of them stopped receiving calls or only one?
- your 3CX client does receive calls when in foreground?
Thanks

Hello Vali,

We have many iPhone devices but I don't have feedback from everyone.
For now, 6 users have reported that they have the same problem.
Also, the iOS client do not receive calls while on foreground.

I am running ios 16.1.1.323
Pbx is running on the stock azure template updated from the web admin to version 16.0.5.612
All debian updates applied.

Does this happen only while you are on LTE or does it also happen when on WiFi?
Happens on both LTE and WiFi. Current version of the app from the App Store works fine for him over both WiFi and LTE.

@MarkTTU Can you also share what version your PBX is and what OS you are using
PBX is 16.0.5.611 running on the 3cx Debian ISO in a Hyper-V virtual machine.

Today, with the new iOS-App inbound calls don't work (both WiFi & LTE). Foreground and Background. All iOS devices with the same behaviour. Outbound calls are possible.
iOS-App: 16.1.1.323
3CX: 16.0.5.612
OS: Debian 3CX Image V9 (Vmware ESXi VM)

What I am seeing is that the iphone does not register at all with the system.

I have the same problem in 2 iphones. The push notifications doesn't work. I tried another voip app and the push notifications work.

Same issues here
iOS: 16.1.1.323
3CX: 16.0.5.612
OS: Debian9 3CX ISO

Confirmed no push notifications on multiple iPhones on either LTE or WLAN
Outbound works OK

Edit: confirmed no push notifications to older app versions, tested 16.0.1.606

@JohnS_3CX

- Not sure was built and hosted at Telin
- No SSH access at the moment
- PBX 16.0.611
- App 16.1.1.323

Debian Stretch
PBX 16.0.5.612
IOS clients not working almost 100 users.
Not in a good position - I have lots of users depending on IOS app as they work remotely due to Covid -19.

@DVGSYSTEMS We are in the same boat. I thought it was my beta app but it is everyone.

@Jeff Harlan No its not everyone. It only happens to systems on which auto updates on Debian have been switched on by the admin / user - its not the default option so that we can test updates prior to them being installed.

Unfortunately this update Debian disabled an outdated certificate used by Apple and this caused the problem. We will create a hotfix and blog post.

however please do not install software or auto update the OS. Security updates are installed by 3CX automatically after they are tested.

@Nick Galea This system was installed by Telin Systems one of your close partners as I hear it. I did not make any decisions about the OS and made an assumption that they were using your ISO's which made a fool out of me apparently. This is the first box with them and now I know that they do this and will resolve this with them.

And I meant everyone in my company not the entire world.

Hi Jeff, Yes they are a close partner and to be honest i think this was a difficult case - everybody was caught by surprise. We have learned from this and will communicate better how to update systems in future.... Apologies for the inconvenience... blog post is coming soon explaining more in detail what happened exactly. And we will discuss with the team how to better prevent this in future.

I was wondering why all our other installs from pbxexpress to google and aws were not having the same issues... Frustrated is all I can say...

Maybe in the system affected you update "ca-certificates" package manually or automatically.
