I have a user that when he joins a WebMeeting and someone else's screen is shared, attached is what they see, blank screen. I have tested over and over on my iPad and iPhone and do not get the same issue. Any ideas what causes this?

Thank You

Hi @rfuller783

We can also confirm that this works. Perhaps it is something related to that phone specifically.

Try joining the same meeting with screen share along with the user that complained and compare.

And of course, make sure the user has updated their app. They should delete the app, and reinstall it fresh from the app store if in doubt.

We also get reports of blank screens during screen sharing off some of our students however we have not managed to track it down to what devices are in use yet.

could you check what App Version they are using and if they can replicate the same on the TestFlight version in the above link?

Hi,

Not had chance to try anything with the newer client yet however a member of staff here has noticed the following happening recently..

1 - He starts his webmeeting and says hello to the students present
2 - He shares his screen and asks the student on the chat if they can see his screen, they all answer yes.
3 - He starts his lesson and then checks the chat and finds a student who has joined after he has shared his screen is saying they can't see anything.
4 - He stops sharing his screen and restarts sharing his screen and everyone can now see the shared screen.

The teacher sharing the screen will be using chrome on Windows 10, we don't know what the students are using when this happens at this point in time.

The teacher in question feels this has started happening recently.

Hi @Matthew Wheeldon,

I've tried and failed to reproduce this using Webinars and WebMeetings.
  1. How many students are in an average lesson?
  2. How many report that they cannot see the screen share? Is it every student that joins after the screenshare starts?
  3. Are the lessons recorded?
  4. Does leaving and rejoining resolve it?
