I am making a change in my network that requires me to add a firewall between my primary sites and remote sites. The remote sites are connected to the main site by dark fiber. These sites and phones exist now, but have been connected by a L3 switch and it's been working.
I will be adding a firewall to the remote sites. I have a test setup and the phones are not able to auto provision. If I enter the provisioning url in the phone gui I can get the phones manually provision. My thought now is that the phone will not auto provision because something in the firewall is stopping it - multicast is not turned on. Is multicast required for provisioning?
