Is there a way to provision Avaya H229 on 3CX?

Hello!

I am new here.

Have successfully installed 3CX and firewall check gave me the green light. ;-)

I have an Avaya H229 to play with, is it compatible at all?

It has been detected on the dashboard, but on the dropdown menu it is not listed.

The Avaya datasheet for H229 say it works with 3CX. Am I missing something?

It is not a supported phone - https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/

you will have to manually configure the phone by entering username , password , server ,etc into the phone by the web front end

I had this feeling. :-(

I have access to the phone GUI.

Just to double check I understood....

I shoud be able to provision it with another service/provider but not with 3CX?

Avaya phones are not 3cx supported as they are first for Avaya phone system.

Avaya says they work with 3CX so that you buy them, not because they work properly.

Avaya equipment, Phone or Network is crap, and horribly overpriced usually.

Avaya says a lot of things, usually the rest of the world knows better though...

Do not trust Avaya unless they admit something doesn't work
