Hi,

I am having an issue with a system where we have changed the names of phone extensions.

When we tried to send the provision file and reboot but nothing is changing on the phones and the names are remaining the same as they where before.
They are all using Yealink phones T22P and T23G

Any idea why this is happening?

Thanks,
Leon

Hi John,

  • 3CX Version, e.g. Standard Annual 16.0.6.655
  • Server OS, Linux
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? Hosted
  • IP Phone Yealink T22P 7.73.0.60 / Yealink T23G 43.84.0.55
  • Provisioning Method: Direct STUN
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make - Gamma SIP
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO
This is only happening on a few of the phones so not sure nothing in the 3CX Logs to state provision failed.

When I run the provision from the 3CX interface it is working as it initialised on the phone and reboots but don't update.

thanks,
Leon

Have you configured the phones the 3CX supported way

1. Each phone has a fixed IP address.
2. Each phone has a different SIP port
3. Each phone has a different range of rtp ports.

i.e. phone 1 - sip port 5065 rtp ports - 14000 to 14012
phone 2 - sip port 5066 rtp ports - 140013 to 14025

The firewall needs port forward to the phone IP address these ports - SIP ports and rtp ports taken from the phone provisioning tab

Or save yourself alot of hassle and install a SBC server
