I'm having an issue setting up an SMB backup to a network share on a different server. The PBX is not in our backup software because it's the only server on site and the rest are in a datacentre. I'm trying to use SMB to connect to the network share and it just keeps giving me an error message "Cannot connect to SMB" without any further details. I've tried hostname, IP, different accounts... nothing appears to be working. I can browse to the share without issue from explorer. The 3CX server is running on Windows and it is connecting to Windows server shares. The servers are on the same domain.

Have you tried backing up to a mapped network drive rather than \\server\share?

Assuming using a network drive is using the local disk option, I did try that, however, it never shows the network drive - just the OS drive.

Try mounting the share as a local folder on the C drive to get 3CX to share it.

Can you share a screenshot of your settings? Don't censor to much, I want to see your syntax (// vs \\, etc)
