Good afternoon.
I’ll try to explain our problem as clearly as possible.
Could this be a bug in 3cx version ?

Prod server: Version 20.0 Update 8 (Build 1121 Release)
Test server: Version 20.0 Update 9 (Build 670 Alpha)

It all started because we’re unable to manage the phones after upgrade 20.0.7.1080 (release) => 20.0.8.1121 (release).

We started looking into the issue with the phone templates. We noticed that there is no option to edit the template.
The “Save” button isn't working.
We have a test 3CX instance, and that same template can be edited there without any issues.
We noticed that when editing a template in the test environment, it appears in the address bar.

However, this is not the case on the production server.

It still works perfectly. Have you checked the permissions on the folder?

Also here, it does still work fine (v20.0.9.670).

Yes, the permissions for the folder /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Http/Interface/provisioning/XXXXXXXXXXXXX/CustomTemplates/phones/ are all set.
I just restored a snapshot from 20.0.9 (alpha) to 20.0.8 (release), and the templates can no longer be edited.
It’s the same issue as on the 20.0.8 production server.
Looks like a bug...

I also noticed that in version 20.0.8, both in the test environment and in production, custom templates now have duplicate names.

This might be the reason why I can't manage the phones. The server is referring to the one with the duplicate name.
But in reality, the device is set up with that template.

Guys, I did it.
Since the portal doesn't let me edit the template (to remove the .ph from the model name so I can manage the devices), I was able to edit the template file via the SSH console:
/var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Http/Interface/provisioning/xxxxxxxxxxxx/CustomTemplates/phones

After I edited the file and removed the .ph extension from each model, the phones became controllable.

I realize that this isn't a good practice. But I don't understand why our phone models have been linked to templates without the .ph extension all this time.
The issue has now been resolved. Thank you all.
