Hello,
I have 3 3cx systems linked together using trunks.
Every extension on each can reach any extension on others using 3 digits, 1xx, 2xx, 3xx

On 2 of them I have a sip trunk with a digital receptionist asking for extension and the call is routed. This was just in case someone wanted to call back someone at the shops and did not had to call the main number in the third pbx.
On the third I have many extensions in a ring group and all external calls are routed to this group.
Calls can be answered and forwarded to any of the extensions on the 3 systems.

Would it be possible to allow an IVR to forward calls the same way ?
This is because some are working past open hours and after 5pm all calls are routed to voicemail.
I'd like to replace voicemail with an IVR to be able to reach people or leave a message and suppress the other incoming DID on the 2 other systems.
This is to have only one number to be called to reach all 3 shops and all the people in the company 24/24 if needed.

So what's the best way to achieve this ?
Thanks a lot

a dummy extension with forwarding to the other side is one way to do this.

You mean creating an internal 4xx forwarding to 1xx ?

There should be a better way to do this than doubling the number of extensions.

Shouldn't be easy for you just to increase office hours, instead of closing at 5pm set it later

As it is working fine for now , if you change closing hours should be fine for everyone and changes done in 5 minutes

This is not about office hours.
It's about IVR being able to forward to external extensions on another 3cx.

Hi Cede,

Are you using the 3CX Bridge function or manually created trunks?

What version are all your PBX instances?

Since the IVR cannot forward to extensions that don't belong to the system, maybe you should ask your question in the Call Flow Designer section of the forum. It might be possible to do what you want using the CFD and the IVR can send your call to the CFD app.

JohnS, yes that's what I was looking at. If I can get a number from an user input, I will see if I'm able to transfer to that number.

Need a windows machine to get it ruunning :)

I did a few tests from Call Flow designer and this is the way to go.
