Solved Large sip.ld files

Morning ,

Our daily 3CX backups are getting quite large after about a year in service; each backup is approaching 1GB in size. The bulk of that appears to be over a dozen sip.ld files of around 50MB each.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can anyone clarify what the sip.ld files are and why they might be so large? Should they be, is it normal to expect large backups like that?

Can you please let us know what version your PBX is exactly, and in which subfolder of the backup file this appears in?

Sure, sorry - should have said before.

We are running version 16.0.676 and the files are located in:

3cxbackupname\provisioning\randomlygeneratedfolder\

And what phone models are you currently using on your system?

Yealink T40G mainly, with a few W60B and CP920 (also Yealink).

You were referring to the Polycom legacy support files that are linked in this guide https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/polycom-vvx/

If you don't use Polycom devices any more you can remove those files, but carefully. Only remove the files that have the same names as the ones included in the Polycom 5.6.0 support archive that is linked in the guide above.
