It’s been a while since we last released an update for our iOS app. But it was worth the wait! In this update we’ve focused on the chat functionality within the app, making it almost identical to the one on the web client. This makes switching between apps even easier. So, what’s new in chats?

I would like in invite link to demo the ios beta. Thanks

I'm testing the iOS Client v16.0.1.589 on a iPhone Xs with iOS 13.0 (17A5522g).

The app seems to work well when it's running on foreground.

The only problem so far encountered is when a call is received and the phone is locked or the app is not open.

  • iPhone Locked: you answer but nothing is sent/received
  • App not opened: you answer but nothing is sent/received (app crashes if opened)
I hope Vali carries on and performs some tests ;-)

Have a nice day

Hi. I am on 16.0.1.589 (testflight), running on an iPhone 7 with iOS 12.4.

iPhone Locked: you answer but nothing is sent/received
App not opened: you answer but nothing is sent/received (app crashes if opened)

I noticed also strange behaviour: When the phone is locked, I can answer the call but then it gets dropped. Same here, if the phone is not locked but the app isn't in foreground. If the app is active in foreground, I can answer the calls, make calls just as normal.

Regards, Christian

Just a quick note on my first post: When I went into the SRTP options on that iPhone Account, I see that "allow srtp" was selected. Putting this to "normal" repairs it. I can answer, listen and speak while the iPhone is locked or while the App isn't in foreground.

This is strange: With the same 3CX extension on an Android phone, the "allow SRTP" option works and does not trouble the App...

Are there any suggestions? I would like to see SRTP working...

Regards, Christian

PS: I saw the same behaviour with dropped calls on the current non-beta of 3CX for iOS. This was the reason why I chose to join the Beta. I didn't tested the SRTP option there, so could this be an an older problem?

Hi Mukkacow.

The new non-beta (16.0.1.606) is out. Can you confirm, that the app is working? I have similar problems than with the beta. The only thing that worked for me is turn off SRTP within the iPhone-app.

Regards, Christian

SRTP needs to be disabled for tunnel encryption to work.
So now the tunnel is encrypted. Which means that the Channel of SIP + RTP is encrypted.
Which also means that if you have srtp on, you are attempting to encrypt the RTP data that then later needs to be encapsulated and encrypted in the tunnel.

Anyone who has SRTP can disable this option and try again.

I would like a testflight invitation code for this beta. Thanks!
