Hi All,

I am a prospective customer of 3CX for a team of 200 clients across a WAN, however one area that is essential for us is LDAP/Active directory authentication of users.

While I see that LDAP integration is available for the web meeting system, the contact component of 3CX has is own seperate credentials database.

Passwords can be revealed in clear text which I agree is a handy feature for some but a security concern in our environment.

Furthermore, it means we need to manage two seperate directory username/password systems which is time consuming.

Other competitive solutions have this functionality by default, however if this issue was resolved for us, we would jump onto 3CX tomorrow.

+1 including AD picture.

We are working on user sync with Office 365 and later Google gsuite. Also client authentication via Office365 and Google will be possible....

And also with an onprem AD?

+1 AD and/or LDAP authentication/integration would be fantastic!

Hi Nick,

I think do you mean Azure AD instead of Office 365. If I'm right Office 365 have not an own User Directory, it gets Users from Azure AD.

+1 here too.

Running approx. 350 staff extensions and would roll-out to +1100 students but too much work maintaining multiple directories without AD integration.

Would the G-Suite client authentication use SAML for just the web client?
We would want our AuthID and AuthPassword for extensions to remain independent of any G-Suite integration as it is passed in plain text in provisioning files etc.

Is there any approximate timeline for the G-Suite integration?
We are very keen to see this!

SAML / Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) compatible authentication would be great!
This would allow Sync with Google, AzureAD (&O365) and much more Federation Based Services. Also most universitys are using systems like that for user authentication.

I'm currently evaluation the change of our telephone system with 200 users.
3cx is in top three of the decision board, but the missing AD integration is a very big handicap.
We as IT staff don't want to maintain a second user / Password system. And the users don't want to and cannot remember complex passwords for different systems.

A Integration of Assure AD is not sufficient, as we need the integration of the default on premise Active Directory authentication. Without, the acceptance of 3cx will be near zero.
