Afternoon all, trying to setup more than one DECT base with the 3CX SMB free. I know why would you do free... I'm doing it as a favor to a friend, but feeling like it's just torture for me right now. I have one DECT base configured and working fine, but I need a 2nd DECT base at a separate location to work so they can transfer calls and extension dial between the 2 physically separated locations. Is there a reason this is not working? 3CX appears to properly provision the 2nd DECT base, but never completes it in the 3CX portal to make it green and functional. I've reset the base and the handset (Fanvil W610D) multiple times and have full GUI access to the base. 3CX SMB free v20 update 6 build 724.
The "system required" section I just chose my partner license, as the free doesn't show up for me as an option to choose.

Are you using SBCs?

yes, I put an SBC on my laptop (same network) and I reprovisioned a Yealink T46u as an SBC to use for the 2nd DECT device (same network). still no joy. I did confirm that the SMB free ONLY supports 1 ring group and it does not support routing DIDs to anywhere other than a single location. I'm almost 100% certain that it only supports 1 DECT device. I did finally figure out all the caveats required to upgrade the fw on the W610D handsets, so I'm in process of that now, but it does take a few hours to update each version level on these devices. They also must stay on the charging base or the update will pause on you.
I also moved them over to a paid license while I get them fully updated with these W710D DECT bases. They did not adopt into the paid license properly yet either. they still show red instead of green which is why I jumped on the fw upgrade - which were needed anyway.

I will say that I'm learning a lot about the free version and why we sell licenses for the full product. I do love some 3CX, but I realized I won't be doing free again as a favor anytime soon. ;)

so the w610d handsets fully patched overnight to the latest fw version 1.18.9
I downgraded the fw on the W710d base to 1.18.4.1 (no joy) - then upgraded it to the 1.18.7 (again no joy).
I then added a Yealink T46u for an SBC instead of my laptop as the SBC - still no joy.
Again - the DECT base provisions from 3CX with the info it needs to connect, but never connects...

What am I missing here? It cannot be this hard!

update - the 3CX SMB free DOES INDEED support more than 1 DECT base. It does help when you mention that the device will show RED in the "voice & Chat section until you manually add the phone into the DECT base. I of course missed this as I never saw the base go green at any point in time during this process until I stumbled into that small tidbit of info.
I hope this helps anyone else that may be doing dumb things like I was on setting up the DECT base with handsets.

We got a set for one of our clients (W710D with 4 W610D) and sadly it has been only problems. Not 3CX but in part because the BLFs that don't propagate to the phones. We found out it requires newer firmware. We uploaded the firmware to the base and waited for the 3 to 5 hours... next day the phones were bricked showing artifacts on the screens. The only way to recover the phones is by using the udrive but we will need the SigmastarUpgrade.bin and upgrade_script.txt that fanvil only provides. There is no place to download it from. Anyone knows anything about this or has the file for this model so we can recover the phones. Fanvil is located in China and our distributor isn't of any help.

Hi Fidelis, I just sent you a direct message. I'm not sure how sharing of folks contact info works on these forums, so I sent you the Fanvil NA rep email address that may be able to get you help fairly quick on that problem.
