I a referring to that...... from the original post3CX doesn't auto upgrade from v16 to v18, not sure what you are referring to.
Please try the license refresh as suggested, it might be sufficient to get you operational for now.
Interesting, did not catch that. We host all our clients so I probably just skipped over that sentence. Normally if automatic updates are on, it doesn't upgrade versions. I bet they assumed anyone with a PBX hosted with them, did not also have others not hosted by them. Technically the blog post was from August so they took their time.If your 3CX instance is Hosted by 3CX, we will update to v18 over the next two weeks
I see, thanks for your time, in the mean while we will wait until 3CX launch a windows version, to upgrade all of our Customers and be able to see them and for them to see us (which... let me remember was in fact the only reason our customers paid to have.... incredible 3cx finally made a version where you just can't have the most in demand feature unless you have the same core version (in other words keep paying), they even excluded that functionality last year from resellers free license keys basic level (in other words licenses from certificates without sales = you get demoted = your free license is getting demoted too = now your license has no features = you also pay). I now see very clear the major feature of that specific ver. (Nice one)....at least 3cx in the last 3-5 year keeps evolving in one direction.Interesting, did not catch that. re: beta, no I wouldn't recommend it, but you asked what was available, and it sounds a bit like you're stuck. The Windows version was not available at v18 launch, they had said it would be Update 1. At least Update 1 is on its second beta so one might assume it's fairly close.

The general rule is that, that latest Update of the previous Major Release is compatible with the newer Major Release. If the upgrade breaks and I don't want to troubleshoot, how can I go on with the last backup from v16? Is it compatible with v18, so that I would be able to set up a new v18 and use the backup here? Or is it only compatible with v16, so that I can only set up the v16 in a fresh installation with the v16 ISO, use the backup here and do the upgrade afterwards?
Short: is the v16 backup compatible with v18 or not?
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/how-to-upgrade-to-3cx-v18.84849/post-397587Update to v18 from v16 disappeared, it tells me that my system is up to date.
I tried to make fresh install of v18 from iso but it does not show license agreement and 3CXWizzard is not started.
After sererals attempts I just rollbacked snapshot back to v16.
Is there currenty any know issue?
So far as I can tell, the published 3CX ISO for v18 does not contain the non-free drivers that are needed for the Realtek chips in our Askozia appliance. (I find that strange, since the installation media for the initial migration from AskoziaPBX to 3CX clearly included those drivers.) For that reason, when I run the upgrade, I will have a USB drive on hand with the standard Debian ISO contents, which include the non-free drivers. (Nevertheless, I am going to take an image of the disk before running the upgrade.)Hi David
The Silver 1 Space Hardware(Newer-one) from Askozia won't work with the Upgrade, the Network-Chip is not recognized, so not Networking Possible.
I checked two of them.
Bye

As far as I am aware, the Askozia appliances either had a pretty standard Realtek chip or an Intel chip, depending on the model. So far as I can tell, the published 3CX ISO for v18 does not contain the non-free drivers that are needed for the Realtek chips in our Askozia appliance. OK, I see that now—they're just organized differently in comparison to the official Debian 10 ISO. I had been viewing the 3CX v18 ISO from Windows, which incorrectly displays the symlinks in the firmware folder on the 3CX version. I think I'll be just fine when I attempt the upgrade in about a week. Our Debian ISO also has non-free drivers, so I think there shouldn't be a driver issue.
Do have the USB drive with you to be sure, but I thing it shouldn't be needed.
