Update 1 Beta 2 has been released, adding support for Yealink headsets as well as optimizing the way images are sent. This Beta has been thoroughly tested on Windows operating systems, ensuring bugs and issues are ironed out, prior to the final stable release on Windows, due shortly.
Yealink Headset Integration
The Web Client now includes integrated support for Yealink headsets as well as improvements on previous headset integrations. Low-cost Yealink headsets can now be used for call control allowing the user to:
- Answer a Call
- Drop a Call
- Mute the microphone
- Place the caller on hold
- Switch between lines
Images Sent Compressed
We’ve improved the way images are sent from the 3CX WebClient to SMS/MMS providers and Facebook messenger. Some providers have a 1 MB file size limit, which prevents an image from being delivered when sent in the original size. Now, 3CX automatically compresses any images to ensure that they reach their destination.
How to get V18 Update 1 Beta 2
Try out V18 Update 1 Beta 2 for Linux 3CX V18 on Debian 10 ISO or Windows. Current version 18 users can upgrade to the Beta release from the Management Console.
Windows instances currently running version 16 must take a configuration backup then complete a full uninstall and reinstall.
Alternatively, you can create a new, hosted trial account then proceed to upgrade to Beta from the management console.
