I am experiencing an issue with Maid Codes when integrating 3CX Hotel Services with Opera PMS, and I would like to clarify whether this behavior is by design or configurable.
Environment:
  • 3CX Deployment: On-Premise
  • Edition: 3CX Enterprise 32 SC
  • Version: 20.0 Update 8 (Build 1121 Release)
  • OS: 3CX created Debian Linux ISO
  • PMS Integration: Opera PMS via 3CX Hotel Services
Current Behavior:
  • From a room phone, dialing *68 + 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 works as expected:
    • Caller hears: “Thank you, goodbye”
    • Opera PMS successfully receives maid codes 1–6
    • Room status in Opera is updated correctly according to the code
  • However, when dialing *68 + 7 / 8 / 9 from the same room phone:
    • Caller hears: “Invalid input”
    • Opera PMS does not receive maid codes 7, 8, or 9
    • Corresponding room status is not updated in Opera
Question:
  • Is 3CX Maid Codes (*68) limited to accepting only digits 1–6 by design?
  • If so, is there any way to extend or customize this to support codes 7–9?
  • If not, could you advise where this validation is controlled (e.g. Hotel module, dial plan, config, or PMS integration)?
Any clarification or official documentation reference would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Test with the system in Verbose, and perhaps even a pcap to see what element is rejecting the higher codes - whether the PBX pases them to the PMS or not would be a good point to start checking.

This is by design and cannot be changed: for Fidelio only 1-6 codes are supported.
Validation is done at the built in HOTEL IVR level depending on the active PMS type.
