Still confused here.

How can I make a call from a .net application that I have written. It's 2020 and it appears that I can't integrate with my phone system! The Cal API that was available during my evaluation trial period has disappeared and I see promises for an API on the 3CX site - "as they are soon to be deprecated in favour of outbound dialing via REST API." (https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/call-flow-designer-v16/) - written April 19th 2019! 10 months later and nothing.

disappointed to be honest

Thanks Ernesto,

Is this documented anywhere so I know where to look next time? Can the call be started using a parameter rather than just fill in the dialer?

This solution will work short term but would still prefer a "proper" api such that the application can make and break the calls.

regards

Richard

No, but that's the URL that you can see from the click to call extensions.

Not at the moment, you will need to press the Call button to start the call.

There is no other way at the moment.

With the CRM integration (https://www.3cx.com/call-center/crm-integration/), the text says "With 3CX you can integrate your ....System with your PBX and be able to launch calls with a single click". Is this not true for DIY CRM integration?

Thinking wider - is tapi still a thing. Would this work with the v16 windows client?

TAPI still working with v16 and we use it successfully with 1 deployment.

If your system is web based, you can use the click to call browser extensions:
https://www.3cx.com/phone-system/click-to-call/

Otherwise, you can use the hot-key dialing feature of 3CXPhone for Windows.

Yes, TAPI works with v16 to make outbound calls, so that's another option you have.

I've been able to make a call using TAPI using the Windows Client and a .net project, so I can move forward.
