Hi, im new to the forum, hope im posting in the right place.

I have been tasked with writing a script to make an outbound call using 3CX.

Our database software has the ability to trigger a call using Skype or Windows Dialler automatically, but these are launched from a separate VB Script. I was thinking i could modify the script so that instead of launching skype and appending the number to the command, i could change it to 3cx append the number and launch.

Unfortunatley, i cant seem to get the script to work with 3CX. So two questions:

  1. Can you tell 3CX to dial a number from the command line and if so, what is the syntax?
  2. If that can't be done, can you force dial.exe (Windows Dialler) to route via 3CX instead?

Many thanks for the help in advance.

Thank you. I have tried the second part to no avail. Our server has version 14 installed so I think i might be flogging a dead horse. I dont have the authority to upgrade to 15.5...

You're welcome Dean. You can discuss it with a partner who can make a good case for upgrading to whoever has the authority in this case, and help address any issues you may have along the way. This might become inevitable in the future anyway in case the system goes down, but I respectfully understand if there are 3rd factors preventing you from upgrading for now.
