What is the maximum number of characters you can have in a 3CX Admin password for the Management Console?

Same question for extension passwords. Don't see this listed in any docs and a search came up dry.

Not sure of the max length but anything above 12-14 random characters is pretty much unbreakable.

Do you have a special need for very long (like 25+ chars) passwords?

For extension password, the limit is what the phone will take - make it too long it will not work.

Any reason not to use the default passwords generated by 3cx

Hi,
the password field for the admin can contain 51 characters. The maximum number of characters for extension passwords is 50 (I don't know if all phones can accept it).
