Solved Max users

Looking to switch to a hosting solution instead of on prem - noticed that an instance has a max user count. What is counted as a user? An extension? Call Queues? Ring Groups? Digital Receptionist?

A user is normally an extension.

Hi @kmcmichael,

A user or an extension is the same thing. Note that there is no hard limit to the amount of extensions/users you can add to your instance. The predefined value for MAX USERS is calculated based on the specs of the machine to avoid any issues with the performance of your instance.

For instance, imagine that you have a 24SC that can host 60 extensions. Let's just say that you have 80 extensions, considering that all of them are used, then your instance will most probably run into performance issues.

okay that is good to know - there won't be a scenario where all of those extensions are actively being used as some of them would be group mailboxes.
