What is the maximum number of phones that can utilize a single router phone as an SBC in a Hosted deployment? I've seen some documents state that 10 phones is the limit. In other places it seems that a single Router Phone acting as an SBC at a physical site is all that's needed, no matter the number of "regular" phones in use.

Is this max number of regular phones, if a limit exists, a hard and set limit? Or is it more dependent on the horsepower of the make/model of the phone being used as a Router Phone SBC?

I am currently using a Fanvil X5U-V2 as my Router Phone SBC, it has 10 additional regular phones tied to it. It appears I can keep adding regular phones and attaching them to the same Router Phone, but I don't want to risk any future issues.

Thanks,
Mike

We recommend that only 10 normal phones be provisioned to each router phone, although no hard limit is imposed on this. These are the recommendations for the best results per the tests performed on our side.

3CX has said 10. Since one can have multiple router phones, easy enough to make each their own (phone becomes portable) or have several.

I’ve not tried more but at some point I’d expect call quality or connection issues to appear.
