Hey,

We've migrated to 3CX for some months now, but we will soon migrate to a server we manage ourselves.

Two questions:

- Since we will keep the actual FQDN and the same license "Stantard annual". Is it possible to just disable the GCP instance, backup everything including FQDN+License and just restore it on the other server?

- During this process will the phone provision url changes at all?

Regards,

Valentin

Hello @Valentin Fernandez

If you manage the Google cloud Instance then you will need to backup the system, power down the instance and restore the backup to the on premise server. The licence and FQDN will remain the same but the provisioning for the phones will change since the phones i assume will be local to the PBX. You will need to use the local provisioning link to provision the phones to the new on premise server.

Hello @YiannisH_3CX ,

It's an instance managed by you guys, as for the new instance will be on AWS, every phones will be provisionned by STUN - RPS. I should have precised that, my bad!!

Since you are maintaining the same provisioning method then the provisioning link will remain the same. The DNS will point the phones to the new IP so you will not have to worry about phone provisioning.
Once you setup the new machine however you will need to contact us in order for use to delete the hosted instance so you do not get a DNS conflict.

How would I efficiently(quickly) contact you guys, when I'll need terminating the intance? By openning a ticket from the customer portal?

Anyways thanks for your help!

Opening a ticket will be the best way to get the fastest response time.

@YiannisH_3CX

I didn't realise that openning a ticket would cost 75$.. What are the other options? Is shutting down the services directly on the instance sufficient? If not, where could I contact you guys for shutting down the instance that won't cost me.

Send me a p.m. as will need some details to be able to proceed.
