Any solutions that integrate with 3cx and Whatsapp to allow for an automatic message to be sent to an inbound caller if their call isn't answered?

I dont think there is any such options available of now.

Yes — this behavior is already handled natively when using 3CX with WhatsApp (Meta Cloud API integration), without requiring a third-party automation tool.

When a customer places an inbound WhatsApp call and the call is not answered, WhatsApp automatically generates an incoming message event toward 3CX.

This incoming message opens the 24-hour customer service window in WhatsApp.

Once this 24-hour window is open:
  • 3CX is allowed to send free-form (non-template) messages
  • An automatic reply can be sent immediately (e.g. auto-reply or CRM/workflow logic)
  • No paid template message is required
In practice, this achieves exactly the requested behavior:
  • Customer calls via WhatsApp
  • Call is missed
  • The 24-hour window opens
  • 3CX can automatically send a free message such as:

“Sorry we missed your call — how can we help you?”

On today's integration, when the API is activated, there is not a calling option on customers app.

Hi

Thank you for implementing the WhatsApp SIP feature — really appreciate how quickly the team moved on this!

I’ve reviewed the blog post and will start testing it in our environments, especially in scenarios with Queue + AI routing. This is a very important addition for us and for several airline / call center projects we’re running.

Thanks again for listening to the community and continuously improving the platform.
