Hello,

I'm a 3CX partner and I want to write this thread about important features that were present in v18 and are missing in v20.

1. Multiple editing on users menu
In v18, it was possible to select several users and clic on the Edit button to configure voice mail, transfert rules, phone, BLF and Options for all selected users. This option is a must : imagine you have 100 users and you will add a BLF button on each, how can you do this without the multiple editing feature ? It's impossible to edit each user manually, it takes too much time.

2. Out of office mode
Before v20, a user can compose *641 to force 3CX in the mode "Office hours", *642 to force 3CX in the mode "Out of office hours", dans *64 to return to hours configured in 3CX. In v20, the only way to do the same is to use the Web client, and the option "Ignore Office hours". I don't understand how you can decide to remove a very basic feature in a new version. All company that use this feature must now use the web client option, but some user only have a phone and not a computer so they cannot close the office with their phone.

3. Edit phone template
This feature are absent on all hosted 3CX v18 and v20, this is regreattable, for exemple I need to disable the NPD button on Snom D785, how can you do that without editing phone template ?

4. Récupérer appel occupé
In v18, Parameters menu / Général, we had an option to retrieve call if busy, with a timeout of 1 second if I want. Now in v20 we can't configure less than 20 seconds ! Once again, I don't understand how such a basic option can be modified from one version to the next.

I hope that 3CX will solve these problems very soon. It's very complicated to justify to the customer that something you've put in place is no longer going to work because of a new version.

Have a good day

Hi,

Good new for the multi user edit.
Ok for the Office hour, but it isn't possible if 3CX instance is hosted by 3CX...
The 3CX licence is purchased for 5 years...

Any idea for 3 and 4 ?

Thank you

the answer to 3 and 4 (and 2) is to go self hosted.
