Moving 3CX from Google Cloud to DigitalOcean

Hi,

I used the 1 year credit that Google offers but now I would like to change to digital ocean, what is the easiest way to do that and keep all my configuration files, and so on?

Download a full backup of your 3CX instances. Go to your 3CX Customer Portal and under Keys -> Your Key, click "Release FQDN". This will delete the instance on Google.

Launch a new DO droplet based on Debian 9 and manually install 3CX (see here: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/).

Then, open your web browser to the IP:5015 and select "Restore a backup".

It will restore the FQDN and update DNS to the new IP.

If you need help, DM me. I just did the same 2 weeks ago.

This will delete the instance on Google.

Correction, this will not delete the Install, just the FQDN. As the instance is in your own project,

1. Full Backup
2. Download Backup to your PC
3. Stopp Instance
4. Droplet in DO
5. Install PBX via Guide (https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/)
6. Restore Backup
7. Wait that DNS FQDN points to new IP
8. When all good, then Delete GCP instance

note, DO was not validated by 3CX, hope all will be fine!

He will be. I am using DigitalOcean to host my business PBX and my lab one and no issue at all. Just need to install manually as DO doesn't support Custom ISO yet.
