New guy to Debian & 3CX Help for SSL install

Ok guys,
My client has decided to roll out with a Debian 3CX that is a on-prem solution, in a virtualized server instance.
So what I'm needing some help with is getting the SSL on the local Debian running.
I know how to use the OPENSSL to create the .key & .csr files
No problem there.
However viewing the CSR in terminal and then importing a SSL is where I'm getting stuck. (Very new to debian command line only)
Also another hang up is navigating to the location of “/var/lib/3cxpbx/Bin/nginx/conf/Instance1” as the server says "No such file or directory"
I'm new to Debian with NO GUI and only command but want to learn.

I have read this link https://www.3cx.com/docs/self-hosted-instances-ssh/ and can preform this on a Windows box no problem.

Why not use the 3CX provided FQDN?

If this is a brand new install you should be following this guide:

Correct. I totally get that. However the IT manager of the company wants a direct cert with a simple URL and not one that is in the pool of others.... So we are just looking to be accommodating to their request.

So explain to the IT manager that for a headache free setup you recommend using the 3CX provided FQDN. After all, you are the trusted 3CX resource no? Even with using the customer domain name there is still going to be a 3CX provided Webmeeting URL which is more obvious and customer facing. If they really want a simple URL chances are their web hosting or DNS provider can do a simple HTTP forward or URL rewrite to accomplish that.

You are correct. Over engineering it just makes things more frustrating.
