To kickstart 2021 we’ve made some changes to the Partner forum to enable more direct communication with all our partners. From today, the Partner forum is open to ALL partner levels from Trainee and above. The partner forum is also open to Distributors. Read our blog post for new forum group labels. This new forum will replace the “Titanium, Pl...

Affiliates are not considered partners I suppose? I don't see the forum.

To be recognized on the forum as a partner you must have a minimum certification and sales which is $2500 of RRP sales PER YEAR (i.e. buy price is less than that). Its a very reasonable amount and an amount that most of our competitors require per quarter.
This was also mentioned here.

I know that. It was just never specified that affiliates are not partners anymore. Just regular guys.

I have a question that i've been unable to get an answer to.
I've been trying to grow my 3CX business and thought that I finally had the Bronze level reached by having sold a 48SC Enterprise license in late 2021 ($2215 revenue value towards bronze quota of $2500). Only to find out that all of the other licenses that I've sold over the years which have always been recurring maintenance of approximately an additional $2205 in yearly revenues would not count towards my quota because we followed 3CX recommendations and converted these licenses from perpetual to annual licenses and the customers ALL received free years for 2021 instead of us receiving any sales money or credit towards our quota for partnership revenue requirements. This just seems completely baffling to me that i'm being denied a bump in partner level because I followed the directions and suggestions of 3CX to move these customers from perpetual to annual. I would have easily made my Bronze level requirement had we sold the perpetual instead of converting, or at least believe we should receive credit for the sale towards our revenue goal since we didn't even make a single dime off of the license conversion since it was given free to the end users. Can somebody please let me know what is going on here? Trying to sell the product and increase my sales but it sure is hard to do so when it seems like it's an uphill battle instead of working with us to reach those goals.

@site You summed it up pretty well. It is what it is. 3CX gave up a lot of current revenue, as did partners - with the knowledge that these licenses will be "stickier" in the future because they must be renewed to maintain full functionality. Knowing this, you certainly could have renewed a few clients anyway, but if it was the right thing to do then it was the right thing to do.

The good news is that this year you will easily hit Bronze, if not Silver. If you hit another larger system or two, they will promote you as soon as you hit the quota.

Good luck! I am sure you will do well.

@accentlogic Sums it up perfectly. It was trading sales now for stickier clients later. But this really shouldn't be a shock as the sales totals are updated and displayed in real time so you should have known this whole time it didn't count. Were I in your shoes I would have just bought a small license or two to put myself over the hump.

I did just that a few years ago to hit Gold. 3 Pro licenses, IIRC. My clients didn't care, but it made me happy.

I get what you are saying, and I am glad that the licenses are stickier, it's why I converted them. It just seems kind of anti-partner channel that they don't give the "revenue credit" toward a partner level for those licenses that would have been sales. Why would you not reward partners for advancing and making the license stickier? It benefits everybody to do so...It gives both 3CX and the partner a stickier license. And while I understand I could have bought a license to reach the level, why should I have to? Shouldn't 3CX want me to be successful with their product and encourage affiliates/partners to make those conversions? It costs them absolutely nothing to reward the credits for those conversions, but it sure doesn't make me feel like they want me to succeed and grow my business with them. I will easily hit the mark late in 2022 with no changes to sales, (hopefully sooner with more sales) but the majority of my renewals happen in 3rd qtr... so its kind of frustrating to say the least. I'll live, it just sucks because it would have been nice to have reached it now since I have the clients and licenses to reach the goal level but it just doesn't show that way due to the way conversions are being handled.

@site For what it's worth, I have never seen a vendor that pays commission on or counts toward production levels any free promotions.

This business is a long game business. I see you have spent the time and have the expertise to get Advanced Certified. You'll do well. Give it time.

I don't think I could have written a better reply than Tim and cobaltit. If you want to talk about it you can call me

Greg, thanks for taking the time to discuss this with me today. While I would still prefer the program to be a little bit more forgiving to the partners in this scenario, I really appreciate the availability of yourself and the team and the transparency involved. I look forward to hitting my mark and bumping myself up.

Well bluntly put, you are not a partner. You have not reached the minimum level Bronze. So you dont have a partner discount. The distributor has kindly given you 10% anyways. Then you have added the VAT/Tax to it which has nothing to do with us.

I am a partner, none of my clients have renewed this year yet so it shows $0.

This was the exact mentality what I was getting at, you're undercutting partners and then come with some BS reply

Please explain to me how can one get new clients, if they go to your website and get it for cheaper, even if I were to be Bronze level.
and where on the 3CX website did you find a payment option?
