Newbie - Select Outgoing Line - 3 DID's

Hi guys this is my first deployment to End user and need a little assistance.
Using V 16 Pro with Yaelink T29G phones at this stage only a single trunk.

Client has 3 Separate mini businesses that he wants to have Separate incoming Numbers for and be able to see what number is calling.- Which is fairly simple
But would also like a LINE/BLF to flash when specific number is ringing.- Not sure How this is done.

They also want to be able to select which number is displayed when making the outgoing calls.

1. Do we need to have separate Trunks setup or can this be done with a single trunk.
2. They would prefer to be able to use a LINE/BLF key to select the outgoing line.

You can have separate DIDs for each company and they can be directed to anywhere you want.
The DIDs can be on the same trunk or separate trunks. But to select a number for outgoing calls, you can use a prefix in your outbound rules to force calls to go out the trunk you want. Note that I say trunk, not DID. With this consideration, perhaps you should get 3 separate trunks in order to have the feature you want. They cannot use a line key to select the outgoing line, the system was not designed around this in mind

Note: with 3 separate devices, you can assign them 3 separate incoming/outgoing IDs respectively, and have them make calls out of a specific trunk only.

They will not see a BLF for incoming calls, they will see the caller ID which can include the queue name for example. Or, you can have separate extensions to handle each DID's incoming calls if this simplifies it.

Note that the system does not provide isolation between the 3 companies, so effectively it will be a single company PBX receiving calls meant for 3 "brands" lets say (which is what the customer has if I understood you correctly).

What you are trying to do is simulate a key system. Unfortunately, without modifying a sets template, or manually provisioning, you are limited to one extension number per set. If you did have more than one extension per set, then the DID numbers could be directed to individual line keys. As it is, without modifying the template, you will have to rely on the name, assigned to each DID, to identify what number was called.
