I have a hosted instance that I upgraded to v20 yesterday. Now my admin user no longer works. Is there a way to recover admin access to the instance? I already tried Forgot Password. I never get any email. I don't recall setting up a system owner.

In V20 you will only see the Admin Console in the Weblcient and there is no way to log in to the PBX console as super admin, only with username, as you were able to do in V18. You can now only log in using the username as the extension number or email of the extension. Use your System owner extension and you will see the Admin console in your web client.

If you are not sure about your System owner extension, we can check from our end, just open a ticket with us.

I have a similar problem. After an upgrade from v18 (Windows) to v20 (Linux), I do not see the admin interface, when logging in with the System Owner account.

What I did so far:

Before upgrading, I assigned the "system owner" to an extension and gave it all permissions to access the admin interface. After this, I resetted the Extension Password and I maked shure, that the login (to v18) with System Owners extension was possible. Then I exported the config and imported it to V20 on Linux.

After the upgrade, I can login with my System Owner but the "Admin"-option is still missing. What I am doing wrong?

Best regards, Christian

Any console restrictions in place?

Do you mean the web console and a restriction like IP block or similar? Not that I am aware of. I can access the console, I can login and I can see some (noteworthy: not all) extensions.

Did you have the admin button down left? If yes and you didnt see all the the stuff, than you are not the system owner.

Oh - Update:

I exported a new backup from my old v18. This time, I decided to do only a config export and not a full one. Now I can login and I DO see and can access the Admin-Tab :)

Best regards,

Christian

This button was missing - until I exported and imported only the config. On my first tries, I exported a full backup with all voice and firmware files. This hasn't worked out, the button was missing.

But now - I see the button :-)
