Hello,

I have a 3CX PBX in cloud, everything works fine.
I have 3 SNOM DECT phones connected to the SNOM M900 base.

They work perfectly, but I have no audio between them (both ways) if I don't enable the "PBX Delivers Audio" options on their extension settings.

If I call any other non-SNOM internal phone (SNOM to any phone, any phone to SNOM), I have audio on both ways even with the option disabled.

The only problem is when a SNOM DECT calls another SNOM DECT.
Any other combination works with even with the option disabled.

Any hints on why this happens?
Thank you!

Hi,

I suggest that you start from our guide to ensure it is correctly configured based on your scenario
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/snom-m300-m700-dect/

This depends on the type of provisioning. So if you are using STUN, PBX Delivers audio must be enabled for good results.

If you are using SBC, then you can avoid sending voice traffic via the internet and it can stay local.

Otherwise, please read this link first and provide us with your details so we can better understand

Thank you JohnS!

Here are my details:
  • 3CX Version: Professional Annual 16.0.5.622
  • Server OS: Debian 9
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? OVH Public Cloud
  • IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware:
    • SNOM M900 - FW: IPDECT-V2/04.50/B0013/12-Nov-2019 14:03
    • SNOM M65 - FW: 410.3
    • SNOM M70 - FW 450.11
  • Provisioning Method: STUN (stun.3cx.com ?)
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO

Do you think it would be better to try a different configuration, or do I just enable "PBX Delivers Audio" for those SNOM phones and forget about it?

Thank you!

I suspect that the issue is because the SNOM base has one IP assigned, and then each extension on that base uses (or should use, a different port). And then , of course all of the associated voice ports. So.. not only are you dealing with multiple STUN extensions behind a router, you are unable to use forwarding rules as they all share an IP. I would just leave the PBX Delivers Audio enabled until you decide to install an SBC at the site.

As per our guide, under the STUN section: In case there is more than one device behind the same NAT base, 3CX will deliver audio according to your extension’s settings.

So basically, yes enable PBX Delivers audio in this case.
