Why am I using version 3 I hear you ask!

Well I tried V3.1 some time ago on a SBS server. This worked ok, a few tempermental problems but I was unable to send my caller ID (this is a VoIP trunk)

I have now set up a dedicated Win XP box just for 3CX, it has a static public IP address, no fire wall running V5.1. I have wasted weeks trying to get this to work properly with out success - no voice mail - no caller ID etc.

So I have re-installed v3.1, the pbx works, the voice mail works. The only thing that does not is outbound caller Id. I have trawlled the forums but with out any success.

Any clear suggestions will be welcome.

I guess it is a joke.
5.1 (4128+latest update) and such catastrophic malfunction... I don't believe you, sorry
It is really better then 3.1 (except very specific cases)

Why did you spend one week? You could post your questions here and we could be able to help you!

It is really interesting what kind of problems did you meet with 5.1 installation.

Thanks

I was disappointed because the presentation looks alot better, but I just had no joy at all!
Ok, as already stated, I am running WinXP with a public static IP. No firewall to block any ports. No NATing to confuse matters.

1) the firewall test "The machine is on a public IP. Please check the FAQ for more information." ""agentAddr =...." which I can not find anything.
2) I can not get voice mail to work at all. No attendant message, no recording, no mail attachmnnet sent via email
3) On outgoing calls, only the VoIP account id is shown at the destination phone. (I have tried all the combinations I could find on the forum to set various fields, but with out success)

You can understand my disappointment!

Excuse me, it is too much information at once.
So, first question:
What version did you install?
Is it 4128+patch4287?

Thanks

Sorry just trying to be clear!

I installed 5.1.4128 and ran the updater, I didn't take note of the patch (but I did that today 1st April - no joke)

Ok.

Any information about this issue.
Logs (even copy/paste from Server Status page)

Thanks

Not at the moment, as I wanted a working system and as per my orignal post I have re-installed v3.

I will re-install v5.1 with the patch now....

I don't force you to install 5.1. If functionality of v3.1 is acceptable then it is reasonably to use it.

But it still really interesting what is stopping you to use 5.1.

Thanks

Ok re-installed v5.1.4128 with <<< Update 3CXPhonesystem to version 5.1.4287 >>> then restored my backup.

Just made a call which should go to voice mail. No attendent message and no email sent. Here is the staus log:

Hi Stephan, I checked the firewall function this morning, this is the first list of the message:
Error (13) The machine is on a public IP. Please check the FAQ for more information. agentAddr = 87.230.29.162:4200

I have read that this does not matter, is that correct?

I made another test call, which should go to voice mail. The logs imply that the call did get routed to voice mail, but I could not hear any audio and the VoIP connection never hangs up.
Here is the log:
