Solved No DTMF sent when dialling an extension

Good day All

I am hoping someone will be able to help me.

I migrated a customer from a traditional PABX to 3CX. On the old system the customer dialled a 3 digit number starting with 2 for speed dials. e.g. 2XX to destination number. When moving to 3CX the customer did not want to change this.
To get this working I setup 2XX as an extension range and in 'User' filled in the destination number in the mobile section. I also ticked - 'Ring my mobile simultaneously' under 'Forwarding Rules'.
All this works well, the problem arises when you dial one of the speed dial numbers and the destination has an IVR that requires you to send DTMF tones, this does not work. If I dial the destination in full, the DTMF tones are sent for the IVR.
Seems like the DTMF tones are turned off for extension dialling.
Can anybody help me with this issue. Thanks in advance.

Use a forward to mobile instead of Ring simultaneously (you can put an exception with caller ID "*"). It will have the same result but DTMF should work.

You can also make use of the outbound rules to accomplish the same thing (speed dial).

dialed digits 201
3 digits long
strip digits = 3
prepend with full PSTN number

Put then in numerical order, in the rules, to make it easy to see which ones are still available for use.

Having them as extensions shows them in the phonebook tho, which is a great perk

If you have to look up a speed dial in a phone book, it sort of defeats the purpose of it being a "speed dial".
