Our latest iOS App (Beta) is designed for simpler and faster interaction with its core functionalities: Chat, Voicemail, and Calls. We’ve added a new command menu on the home screen, as well as including an application badge for incoming chat messages.

No fear of missing chats

Be alerted of chat messages left unread even when...

We are testing the new version for the second day! The flight is normal!

Chat message delivery statuses are not working correctly.
I see three options:
1. Gray checkmark - sent.
2. Blue checkmark - delivered.
3. Two blue checkmarks - read.
When I send chat messages, a gray check mark appears - sent. everything is OK.
When the recipient receives this chat message (a Push notification appears on the screen), my tick remains gray and does not turn blue. That is, I don't know if the recipient has received my chat message.
Only when the recipient opens my message - the checkmark turns blue for a moment and immediately changes to two blue checkmarks.
Since we only use an iPhone for 3CX, I tested this by sending between two iPhones with the latest test version of the application.
P/S If the recipient has Windows applications open and active, the checkmark turns blue (delivered) immediately, as expected.
If I send a chat message from a Windows app, and the recipient is on iOS, the delivery is also not shown. The check mark remains gray until the message is read.

There is not - and never was - a correlation between chat push message being sent and the "read" status of the message. The only way to achieve this is by long pressing the notification an chosing at least "mark as read".

The fact that you may visually see and read the notification it doesn't mean you actually confirmed it you read it.

there are no questions about the "read" status. everything works as expected. there is a problem with the "delivered" status. after the arrival of the push notification and the appearance of a sticker on the application icon, the checkmark is still gray and does not turn blue. the status "delivered" does not appear.

How could I get the beta app to try? We are a partner, and have a customer who has SMS/MMS. The MMS will deliver to the web client and also to the app if the customer has Android. However, if the customer has an iPhone, the message is just displayed as a bunch of numbers. Thank you!

We just uploaded on TestFlight build 18.0.6.277,
the problem with the status "delivered" has not been solved.

Was it mentioned in the changelog as resolved?

@paurus, we just published on TestFlight the 18.4.1.306 beta, please have a look if the delivery indicators are working properly now and let me know. Thanks!

Good afternoon. Thanks for the improvements.
If my app is in the background and the phone is unlocked or locked, when a chat message is received (without opening and reading), the sender receives a blue receipt (delivered). It's super.
If my application is completely closed (regardless of whether the phone is blocked or not) - when the message is delivered, the sender also sees a gray receipt (sent but not received). Even when I unlock my phone and open the 3CX app, the receipt will be gray until I read the message. Then the sender will see two blue checks (read).
since users are used to receiving a delivery report regardless of whether the application is open in the background or not, this does not give an accurate understanding of whether it has been delivered or not.

@paurus
We checked and this issue will be addressed in V18 Update 6, since it requires PBX support.
Thanks for spotting it!

@paurus
We published today 18.6.1.535 Beta on TestFlight - it is "Update 6 ready", so when U6 will be out (very soon) you can check also the case you described above.

We just released V18 Update 6 alpha
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/update-6-alpha-the-next-generation-3cx.117921/

As I said, it should fix the delivery indicators issue @paurus reported some time ago (it affected all clients, including WebClient)
Apart from this, the iOS client 18.6.1.539 accommodates the following V18 Update 6 features:
- allow chat transfer to queues
- allow to pick desired SMS provider (if there are several) when composing an SMS chat
- able to handle/render attachment+description for incoming SMS chat messages, if provider allows (like WhatsApp)

I don't see any way of transferring a chat to a queue, neither on iOS nor Webclient (and I'm running U6)

Hello, are you trying to transfer an active chat to a queue or a closed chat to a queue? if the chat is closed you cannot transfer it to a queue. Please advise

An active SMS chat (that was my first guess when trying a closed chat but I figured it wouldn't work)

Also, the chat originated directly to that queue, then I took it and can't transfer it other than regular users.

You are not allowed to transfer it to the same queue that received it in the first place.

But you are able to transfer it to users, or to another queue if you want.

Can you confirm?

Not even another queue. I just have options to send to a different user. And we have like 20 Qs.
