Hi, new 3CX partner and have a PBX set up on Debian (from the 3CX ISO) on a Hyper-V VM with 4 cores, and 2 GB RAM. Professional Annual 16.0.619, 128 GB VHD. the physical server is hosted with OVH and all 8 extensions are remote. We're using voip.ms for a SIP trunk. All extensions are using the Windows or Android softphone. On Windows it's typically running on a laptop using the built-in speaker and mic.

Things have been going well but, there is often so much noise on a call that neither side can understand each other. It's almost as though the other side of the conversation was standing in a wind storm. Some calls are clear as a bell, some terrible.

I've checked the we're using voip.ms premium service, have disabled pbx delivers audio on the extension and checked that it's enabled on the trunk. After a number of hours reading through the forums, I'm not sure where to look next.

Any help greatly appreciated!

PBX Delivers Audio has nothing to do with call 'noise' as you describe, but using laptops absolutely does. Get a headset or a real IP phone (or Android not on speaker) and test that. Laptop mics are garbage

if you do an echo test from same devices dialing *777 is it the same "wind" in return your speaking

Thanks guys. It seems the iPhone app is crystal clear. Headsets and/or phones are likely the answer. Appreciate the help!
