It is my understanding that the prompts configured under office holidays (office hours) per holiday are only played when using the 3CX call processing script. For the call processing script to play the prompts, it is also necessary to limit your trunk to a department. In this example, let's use the department "default."

Now, in this "default" trunk, I have two numbers: one for "Support" and one for "24x7." When a holiday occurs, the prompt is played as expected, but it plays for both numbers. We only want the office holiday prompt to play for "Support," but not for "24x7." DIDs assigned to users should also ignore office holidays. However, this does not seem possible using the call processing script, as it triggers on all inbound calls on the trunk. Is there no way to achieve this without ordering a second trunk?

  1. Single trunk with multiple DIDs (Support & 24/7)
  2. Multiple predefined holidays, each with its own prompt for the DID "Support"
  3. DID 24x7 and User DIDs should not play any prompt during predefined holidays
Configuring the holiday via call handling with "When on holiday, route to" and using the "play announcement prompt" option is not feasible, as this does not allow for multiple pre-planned prompts.
