As title says- I am prepping an on prem instance to move to the 3cx hosted cloud. In previous software versions, you could update the local IP to the FQDN, the provisioning method, and you could set the SBC, and push a restart. I moved several systems to the cloud this way without issue. In this current version I have been told I need to delete the phone, and re add it with the appropriate information, and factory reset the phone. I have 140 of them to do in 5 locations across my state, so I am asking if anyone has tried anything radical, like a user export, modify the appropriate fields in the export, delete all users and add them back in. I would have to reset my ques, ring groups, and auto attendants, but that would be less hassle than deleting all those phones and adding them back in one by one. Anyone see any gotchas this way?

Hello DrLloyd,

I would move the 3CX to the cloud, en place the SBC at the local IP (old IP) of the 3CX server.
In this way all the IP phones will work from the first moment, as the SIP registratin will work fine.
Once this is all working in the cloud, (accounts) one by one copy MAC, delete IP phone, re-add IP phone, assing SBC and save.
This can be done whilst system is online, so grab a coffie make some hours and have fun.
Again, that is what I would do, not sure if there is any better way.
