Hi

Just set up a 3CX server which is in the cloud. I’m using directvoip as the sip provider when a call comes in as soon as a user answers the I’m unable to receive any further calls. When you ring the main number you get the message saying number is not available.

Any ideas or suggestions were I might be going wrong

Thank you

Is it possible that your SIP provider is only providing one channel? Otherwise, this should be transparent to 3CX.

Are you routing these calls to a CFD app? First, please check the 3CX Activity Logs to confirm that the call is being sent to the CFD app. Then you can check the 3CXQueueManager.log file to see the activity of the CFD app, in case there is any issue there.

Please take a look at this troubleshooting guide:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/cfd-troubleshooting/

Thanks for the prompt reply the sip provider is saying that it’s 15 concurrent calls

As far as I’m aware the calls are not going to any Cdf app

In that case I'll move the thread to the General forum, where more people will be able to help you with this case.

Could this have something to do with free licence and the 1 year free hosting

On the sip trunk setup how many 'Number of SIM Calls' have you configured - should be 15.

How is the main number routed - ring group, queue or extension - check if no answer, busy settings

Yes it says 15 sim calls main number calls go to a ivr that redirects calls to ring groups

Check the activity log, and it should show you want is happening to the calls when there is a call already on a sip line

when i'm on a call soon as i ring the number it goes to the ivr. if i use another mobile to ring the same number call wont even connect

Can you contact directvoip? It looks like you can make only 1 call with their service.
It says 15 maybe in the portal, but there is no reason by 3CX should let 1 call pass only.
Did you select the generic template?
Go to sip trunks
Select your trunk
Ensure that Max Sim calls is more than 1
Then make 2 calls.
And the second one should pass. Make one inbound to an extension for example and another to one of the provider's support number.

it was set up as a generic template. the sip trunks are set to more that 1. the sip trunk configuration was done by the sip provider.

internal calls are fine

its just if i'm on a call and another person tries to ring the main number they either get the disconnected tone or a message saying number not avalible

Internal calls are unrelated - they don't use the trunk
Where did you point the call to go? To what extension?

i rang the main number which goes to an ivr while i was listening to the ivr i dailed the main number from another mobile and that's when it gives me a messages saying number unavailable or call just drops

What is the exact message it tells you..
Word by word

this persons phone is unavailable please try later or send a txt

Sounds like a message from your provider...

Do you even see a 3CX Activity Log, showing an incoming call attempt, on that second call?
