This is valid docs for the stable/production release of 3CX (which is v18).

trying to setup voicemail, however 999# does not work for me as the handset will just call our emergency services! as an admin in a 10 user free web version is there a guide on how i can change this? my extension says i have voicemails but i cannot access them .

You can go into Settings > Voicemail and change the VM number to something that won't interfere with the emergency services. Simply restart the services afterwards.

He said he's a free version, but posted in self hosted.

If he's actually FREE (or SMB), then he can't do this.

Apologies for the confusion, I am on the free version, the issue I have is that my yealink w56h connects to 3cx via a w60b base station and a pi4 running as a SBC Voicehost supply my sip gateway. (quite neat and works well) i have an extension assigned to the dect phone. which seems to be able to recieve voicemails. but i cannot retrieve them, if i dial the default 999 from the dect phone i get the emergency services (Which i dont want to do obviously, unless it is a life threatening emergency). voicemail works with no problem if i use 3cx on my iphone using the 3cx app. if the free version does not support this it is dissapointing, but I have just though of a workaround.divert calls to my mobile voicemail...

Free how? Show us your Dashboard please (hide emails/license keys and such from the image.)

When you set up a 3CX in the UK it comes up as 666 for default for the voicemail.
