I'm implementing a new 3CX that is migrating from FreePBX.
The customer actually has one sip trunk where a lot of different numbers are delivered and the need is to specify a different CID number for differnt outbound route prefixes or group members:

Example:
990+number -> calls number via SINGLETRUNK using 1234 as CID
991+number -> calls number via SINGLETRUNK using 5678 as CID
number called by groupA -> calls number via SINGLETRUNK using 1234 as CID
number called by groupB -> calls number via SINGLETRUNK using 5678 as CID

considering that it's forbidden to specify the CID in outbound routes, I'm trying to configure the same trunk multiple times in outbound only with different CIDs and use the right trunk in the right outbound route.
But I cannot configure multiple trunks because I'm getting:
" Authentication ID provided is already used for another external line - ORIGINALTRUNK"

How can I create this setup without violating some of 3cx rules?

Does your provider allow you to create sub-accounts, using different credentials?

Or IP authenticated trunks. Or you can abuse the 911 settings

Fort sure the don't allow sub accounts, I'm exploring if the can give me and IP based Trunk.
I will look into abusing 911 settings ;-)
Thanks

I'm looking into abusing 911 settings but correct me if I'm wrong, it seems that it's only allowed to override the CallerID for a specific destination in a single rule.
And that's understandable, because it seems to ignore any other outbound rule, resulting in a losso of functionality on internal trunks or bridges.

Am I right?

Thanks
Giuseppe

You are correct, I was not thinking the process all the way through
