Hi all,

Got another odd one (for me at least). One of our clients is having intermittent issues on outbound calls.

Sometimes when calling out they hear "beep beep beep" and the log shows No Route Exists but they try again and it works.

The issue started yesterday (10/11/25).

Here's two examples:

I can't find anything that might be preventing the calls.

It started suddenly yesterday with no apparent changes made.

The only slightly unsual thing I can find is their instance is a few updates behind (V20 u4).

Any help would be appreciated.

Check your outgoing rules and keep in mind the pbx is outdated and need to update asap.

Trunk is stable and not running out of SCs?

Hello AndyCoo,

Going on this.. "beep beep beep and the log shows No Route Exists"
I would guess that this is comming from the provider, not the 3CX.
However, you would need to have some trace to be sure.

Outgoing rules are ok, calls to the same number work 2nd or 3rd time. It's not all calls either, just some.

I believe the link to the trunk is stable and as far as I can determine below the simultaneous call limit.

Currently waiting on the client to approve going ahead with an upgrade as next step.

I've attached a verbose log of 2 failed & 1 successful calls to the same number.

Something wrong with DNS? Bridged systems? Both legs of the call seem to be on 127.0.0.1 / localhost - unless I am missing something in reading these logs.

I was confused by that as well, I initially assumed I'd found the issue but 127.0.0.1 appears in the successful call (42582) as well so it seems unrelated.

No DNS issues that I'm aware of.

SIP Trunk is going via a Fusion PBX (old setup not of my design that I'm unable to change). I'm inclined to blame that but I need some hard evidence to support my case to replace it.

Maybe some logs from that would show you why this calls are getting dropped?
