Hi,

I'm unsure if this question has been asked before, but is it possible to put a rule in place, so that if someone on the 3CX PBX calls another person on the same PBX but dials out using their DID it matches a rule and sends it internally to that person, instead of incurring costs going via the SIP trunk?

Something like a rule that matches +44128300000[0-5] to 10X or something that allows you to put manual pattern match in if there's no correlation in the DID to internal extensions?

Currently it would seem that the only outgoing rules are either to block, or send via trunk, nothing to send the calls back inside if it matches a number on the same system.

Thanks
Rob

What you could do is enable direct sip calling from System > Options and use their DID as their SIP ID configured under extension > options

You could make outbound rules that specify your inbound DIDs and not provide a trunk so the call is dropped. Pretty quickly they would comply.

Hi,

What would they dial exactly?
Meaning would they dial +44.... or just 012.. there is adifference.

Once you are at 'outbound rules', there is no way back into the local system.
You would need to catch it before it gets 'out', meaning the number would need to exist internal.

Example of a quick and dirty trick:
> edit the extension they would call external and and edit the SIP ID on the 'options page'.
type the full phonenumber they would call external... like: 012830000

In this case the number 012830000 does exist internal and the call will NOT go te 'outbound rules.

Remember this will only work if SIP calling is enabled!

Admin - System - Options - SET the "Allow Direct SIP calling"

Greetings
