override settings for stock template

Is it possible to override settings for a stock template?

I would like to add/change the following Snom settings.

<cw_dialtone perm="">off</cw_dialtone>
<transfer_on_hangup perm="">off</transfer_on_hangup>
<transfer_on_hangup_non_pots perm="">off</transfer_on_hangup_non_pots>

create a customised one and use it instead of default, BUT this is not 3cx supported and if you encountered problems you'll need to revert to default to have support.

You can go to the templates section in the system settings and make a copy for the default template of your model with copy button.

Please note that running custom templates is not supported by 3CX so in case you have issues with it and need to contact support you will first have to revert and reprovision with default templates.

I would like to suggest those options be configurable via the phone provisioning options.

If I update a custom template, will the phones assigned to it automatically get those updates (within 24hours), or would I need to hit the "Reprovision" button in the Phones section?

In other words, are the provisioning files generated on-demand when a phone makes the request, or are they generated only during the phone provisioning process?

If i'm not wrong, first time , you need to go in settings, templates, search if your custom template is added to 3CX so you can use it.
then select the extension using default template and replace with your custom one, apply and reprovision or wait until next automatic provisioning 24h max.
Do this for all the phones who need to use the custom template.
