Hello,

I'm having a problem with I think related to paging that I can't figure out.

I have a Group Paging extension that I've setup as a custom speed dial button on phones (Yealink 27G).

If somebody puts a caller on hold and then presses the paging button the on-hold caller will get conferenced to the paging system.

The expected behavior that I'd have is the caller says on hold while the page happens.

If I do it manually (place call on hold, press new call, dial 870) it works as expected and the caller says on hold while the page happens.

Trying to figure out how to get that behavior from 1 button press.

Serge.

Probably because of how Yealink's are configured for transfers in the template (one-click transfer almost).

If that's the case I'm still not sure what I need to change. Not sure if there is a way in custom speed dial to have a macro that executes the "New Call" function and then the extension dial.

I can't see why you'd ever want to put somebody on hold and then the button press on a softkey creates a conference call between the on-hold and the speed dial. That seems *very* bad and prone to error so I'm hoping I've just overlooked something.

Hi Serge,

If you are in a call and press a BLF or speed dial that means "transfer the active call there".

I can suggest the following though which might achieve something similar to what you wanted

Set a couple of line keys followed by your Pager

- when you are on the phone, line key one will be lit up
- when you want to page, hit line key two, then hit Pager
- when done, end call to the pager and resume the caller

Hope this helps
