I am using a Patton 4112 Gateway with one landline. When a call is received it rings to a ring group and all is fine from that aspect.

However if the call isn't answered and goes to voicemail then when the message is left and then press #0 to save the message the line is disconnected on the Patton 4112 but remains open on the mobile I'd called from and have to manually end the call.

If once left message and hang up without pressing #0 (which some callers sometimes do) then the call is not disconnected on the Patton until 2 minutes has elapsed and the voicemail message is two minutes long.

On 3CX the software version is 16.0.9 and on the 4112 the software version is R6.11 2019-07-02 H323 SIP FXS FXO

The Patton FXO port is set to GB profile so wouldn't expect that the FXO wouldn't be the issue but I'm not convinced that is the case.

Does anybody have any suggestions about anything on the 3CX side that could be causing this?

I'll also post on Patton forums in case anybody on there thinks it's a Patton issue rather than on 3CX

Gateways have several methods to detect the originating caller disconnecting. It sounds as if your gateway may not be set-up correctly, to detect any of them. The best, and most reliable is CPC, where the central office sends a short battery disconnect. All providers do not offer this however.

The next best is setting the gateway to detect a disconnect tone, sent by the provider.

To work, requires that you know what that disconnect tone consists of, and set the gateway with the correct information, otherwise...it won't work.

The third, and usually that last choice, is a silence timeout.

Thanks for your reply. I had done some googling and found a post on this forum about disconnect tones and what tone UK disconnect tone should be but it doesn’t seem to be the correct one as it didn’t work

Some UK providers (if not BT), in the past, have been known to use tones sets that are not considered "standard". You might want to confirm, with your provider, what their disconnect tone consists of.

Just to confirm, have you followed our guide to set it up?
https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/patton-smartnode-sn4112/

Make sure you have selected the correct "Tone Set" in the Gateway's "General" tab and then reprovision the device with the configuration file.
Hi Chris have followed the guide word for word with no joy.

Patton support suggested the following for the config file :-

profile call-progress-tone UK_Dialtone
play 1 5000 350 0 440 0

profile call-progress-tone UK_Alertingtone
play 1 400 400 0 450 0
play 2 400 400 0 450 0

profile call-progress-tone UK_Busytone
play 1 400 400 0

profile tone-set UK
map call-progress-tone dial-tone UK_Dialtone
map call-progress-tone ringback-tone UK_Alertingtone
map call-progress-tone busy-tone UK_Busytone
map call-progress-tone release-tone UK_Busytone
map call-progress-tone congestion-tone UK_Busytone

----- Please set all :

interface fxo IF_FXO_XXX
disconnect-signal battery-reversal
disconnect-signal busy-tone
disconnect-signal loop-break

Once I made those changes when I call the landline none of the extensions show a incoming call from the analogue line.

I'll go back to Patton Support and see what they come up with.
use profile tone-set UK

To be honest, as you are running the latest 3CX PBX, the correct firmware on the gateway and have configured it as per our guide, it should've just worked out of the box, unless it has something to do with the landline specifically.

This will definitely need a more in depth look so you might also want to consider contacting one of our 3CX Partners to have them help you on troubleshooting this issue.
