Hello,

I have a new key that I'm trying to install within the customer portal using the 3CX documentation and chose Self-Host in your cloud and when I try to use OVH as the provider, when it gets to the login credentials it fails with the following error:

"No regions were found. This commonly indicates that you have not enabled "Compute Engine" in this project or you have insufficient permissions to administrate those."

After thinking about it a bit, I realized that OVH has different logins for different parts of the world and in fact I have accounts in both Canada and the US (using the same username) and I get the error with both sets of credentials. So my question is, which OVH region/division does the login point to or how do I login to the correct account?

@tse did you setup credentials for the portal as per Step 7 of our guide ?
These you must setup to the Deployment Wizard, not your login credentials :

https://www.3cx.com/docs/cloud-pbx-ovh/
  1. In the OVH Manager, go to “Project Management” > “Users and Roles” to create a new user and assign to it the “Administrator” role. The user ID and password are required to create instances from within the PBX Express.

Nikos, yes, I actually tried that first with the same result and that's when I moved to the login credentials. Again, the question is, what OVH account/region is it trying to use these credentials for (ie. how does it check against my US-OVH account?) Thanks.

@tse with all fairness we have not tried to setup the same User/Credentials to 2 different accounts.
I would recommend to setup different users to your accounts with different credentials.
Also from a security point of view, its not a good practice to have the same credentials on a user with Administrator Role in your Public Cloud project.

Nikos,

Thanks for the response. I'm confused a bit. The instructions that you referred to in your first response stated to follow step 7 of the guide, which I had previously done and that step doesn't use the login credentials, but uses the OVH generated username and password, which are unique, so my question still is unanswered about which OVH region/account is the PBX Express looking to for these credentials*? When I said I have the same username, it's for the overall OVH accounts (and they are different passwords, BTW) but withing the projects under each OVH account (Canadian and US) the username/PW's are all unique. My feeling is the the PBX Express tool is looking for the project credentials under a non US/CA OVH region and am just trying to get confirmation of this thought and if it is so, how do I get the tool to look at my US based project?

*This is probably a question for the engineers who wrote the code to the tool...
