Solved phonebook show company name

i have a question about the phonebook. can i show the company name for a incoming call

What do you mean exactly?

Person from company ABC with number 1234 calls your company EFG that has number 5678. You want to see on your app/phone that you have a call from ABC? You just need to add them as a contact for this.

This is correct. We added multiple company's with first name as an Database number from our software. This shows the name(number database). Only now we want to add the company name in the caller id from our customers. So it shows first name and company name. I do not understand why there is a field with company name in the phonebook and 3cx cannot use this in the caller id.

Company name is shown when name or surname is not there. You can try different combinations to get things shown exactly as you need them.

Have tested this, and can confirm that the 3CX will not show the company name when there is a firstname and/or lastname.
When firstname/lastname blank then the company name will be displayed.
Combinations are not possible.

In your case where you want to use the firstname while displaying the Company name will not be possible.
You could add the company to the lastname ???

Thankyou all for your quick response. I will bulk add with your Idea of first name database number(first name) and Company Name (last name). Maby in a new 3cx update we can choose this phonebook caller id per field not only first name and last name?

Hi,

yes, you can always try to request this from 3CX.
If it makes sense and many people ask for it, it could be include in a future update.
